Make Really Fun Pancakes

By Joanna B. L. Lowes

Are pancakes boring? They are boring in the sense that you probably don't have the time of your life when you eat them, but that probably goes for anything you eat. They are also pretty plain.

If you go to a restaurant and order pancakes or make up a batch yourself, you probably get plain pancakes. Butter and syrup make for not too exciting pancakes.

If you're looking for more fun pancakes that have a variety of flavors, you have basically two choices to make them a little more special. You can either jazz them up through the batter or over-top of the finished product.

Do you want pancakes that are far from basic? Try looking for a different recipe for the batter. You could make crepes instead or you could try out a sour cream, potato, or chocolate pancake recipe for even more variety.

If you aren't interested in looking for a whole new recipe, try jazzing up basic pancake batter. You can be creative and throw in just about anything want. Try adding chocolate chips, m & ms, nuts, blueberries, or other chopped up fruit.

If you are afraid of adding stuff to the batter because you think you'll mess it up, try adding it to the cooked pancakes. Instead of adding chocolate chunks to the batter, sprinkle it over top.

Switch lots of things around. Mix up stuff in the batter and over top. Try using strawberry or chocolate syrup instead. Just make sure you don't go overboard with sweets or you might get sick.

Once you've set up your masterpiece of pancake artwork, finish it off with some whipped cream and enjoy your feast. Create your work for guests and get people hooked on your pancakes. - 15634
