I have made a sampling of the movies released this year (2008). These are some of the films I enjoyed watching this year. Hopefully you will see some films here that are worth watching.
WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS: Wild and crazy nights in Las Vegas are normal. Young partiers Joy and Jack get up the next day and find out that they are married. When they win a $3 million jackpot, the question is who should get the money, so they try to settle it in court. The strange ruling is that they must stay together for six months, and see if they can settle their differences. With an eye on the jackpot, they each try to get the other to give up, as both desire to wind up with all the money.
10,000 B.C.: This film will take you back almost 12,000 years. When mysterious warlords from another tribe invade the Yaghai tribe, they ride off with some of the people, including the lovely Evolet. D'Leh, a young hunter who loves Evolet, leads a group of hunters to pursue the warlords, and save her, and the rest of the captured tribe members.
HAMLET 2: Failed actor Mr. Marshz now finds himself teaching high school theatre to uninspired high school punks. When they lose a building at the campus, the school administration feels that the acting classes will be what is dropped. Wanting to fight, he tries to keep the school from dropping his classes by producing Hamlet 2, an original interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, which is his own work.
THE DARK KNIGHT: In this film Batman, and law enforcement officials, are taking the major criminals off the streets. This has effectively reduced crime, until a new criminal mastermind shows up, and things get a lot worse. Batman is in a battle now, as criminal mastermind, the Joker, has released an overwhelming assault on Gotham City.
TROPIC THUNDER: Filled with great actors the genre of the film is a classic spoof. Things are going bad. To get his super star cast to see the movie be a success, the seemingly bold director into the wild jungle, and leaves them on their own. He hopes to overwhelm them into producing a war classic, which will be caught on hidden cameras in the area. When the director blows up on an old French land mine, the spoiled actors are on there own, and they start acting, thinking it's a big set, but things are getting very, very real. Written, directed, and acted in, by Ben Stiller.
WALL-E: This picture is an animation comedy. Everyone has been removed from Earth because it had become a big pile of trash. Wall-E, a trash collecting robot, is assigned to clean up the mess. Years later, when a robot named Eve shows up searching for any signs of life, Walle-E has a friend. When the spaceship returns for Eve, Wall-E somehow get on the ship, and starts an incredible adventure.
MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: This is obviously the next edition to the big hit film Madagascar. The small group of animals desire to return to New York's famous Central Park Zoo, and go back to the lives they know. As opposed to going home, due to the Penguins, they are heading off to have more adventures first.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This movie tells the tale of Scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has been changed into a creature called the green Hulk. This movie tells of the marvel comic character the green Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liz Tyler. Louis Leterrier directed this movie. This movie would be classified as a science fiction film.
BOLT: Bolt: This film is an animated comedy. Bolt, is a dog who is an actor, who in his role on television, is a super hero dog. The thing about Bolt is that he honestly believes he is this super hero dog with superpowers. After he is unexpectedly thrown into the real world, he discovers that he is just a dog. On a journey to get back home, he is aided by Rhino and Mittens, his newly found hamster and cat friends.
Most people buy or rent these movies, and view them on their home entertainment system. A new way people are acquiring movies is through downloads from the internet. There are websites that will download tons of different movies. - 15634
