Your first piano lessons should be fun!

By Bryan Smith

If you are brand new to the piano and are taking your first piano lessons you will need to read this. I know all too well how it feels trying to learn the piano for the first time.

These can make or break you. I find most new piano players get bored and just end up quitting. Usually if they don't stop, they end up not really making any progress for years and they stay average.

I don't want this to happen to you. You've got aspirations right? You want to be the best piano player that you can be. Believe me this is not out of reach either. I just want help you make the road to success fun and fresh.

There are many piano teachers and piano courses. There is plenty of good and bad stuff to choose from. Sometimes you will get an awesome piano teacher. It is much more likely you have what I had: a boring piano instructor.

It was that the information that my teacher was giving me was the wrong information, it's just that every time I took a piano lesson I wanted to have a brick thrown at me. Yes, it was that boring. You may be one of the lucky one's but if your not, here what you should look for especially for your first piano lessons.

Look for a piano course that teaches you how to play the piano. These courses allow you to work at your own pace which is a big plus. You can either get a piano course from your local music store or on the web.

Personally I prefer online because if you have any problems or questions or want updates you can just contact the people who make the product. It's a very time saving process.

Don't just pick any piano course and think that you are going to excel above and beyond any other piano player. Keep in mind that all piano courses are not equal. Although many piano courses have the correct information about the piano (and piano teacher for that matter), you absolutely do not want to be bored when your learning.

You want to have fun which keeps you motivated to continue learning that in turn makes an awesome piano player. Fun is they key to succeeding (that and practice). If you're not having fun learning to play the piano, you can be rest assured you will not reach your full potential. So have fun with your first piano lessons. - 15634
