Cons of Quick Weight Loss After Being Pregnant

After giving birth, one of a woman's first concerns is how to lose the pregnancy weight. After the baby is born she doesn't want to look like she's still pregnant after 4 months.

It is an unfortunate fact that there is societal pressure to get back to a size two too quickly after the baby is born. You should stop and think that it might not be healthy to lose so much weight so quickly. You should not expect to lose it quickly- it took time to put it on, right?

A lack of proper diet or taking unnecessary medication is not going to help. After childbirth, the mind and body can be a hormonal mess. Using laxatives, taking deit pills or starving yourself will simply aggravate these effects.

A proper diet is vital for the production of breast milk. A healthy diet is necessary for the production of enogh breast milk. Breastfeeding requires an extra 200-500 calories a day. This is one reason the body stores extra fat during pregnancy. The purpose is to fuel the body for producing breast milk. Breastfeeding may mean eating more calories but at the same time it will allow you to burn 500 calories daily.

When you starve yourself in order to lose weight, your metabolism slows way down. This will cause you to feel sluggish and lethargic. You may not even be able to adequately take care of your baby. Depriving yourself to lose weight is never the answer!

It's just too costly for many of us to afford the right team to make us look our best. Personal trainers, stylists and makeup artists are not within most of our budgets! Like what normal people do, we should find healthy ways to lose weight gradually.

Women gain, on average, 25-30 pounds while pregnant. Usually the birthing process will get rid of about half of that. Eating a healthy diet is foremost when trying to lose that extra pregnancy weight. This is also vital if you are breastfeeding. A diet with 2000 calories is perfect.

Moderate exercise done carefully and slowly will also regain your pre-baby body. Allow your body time to heal. Having a baby can be very strenuous on the body. You are not helping your body by immediately returning to a heavy duty exercise routine.

Do not follow the celebrity trend of getting back to pre-baby weight more quickly than is healthy for you. I know that can be easier said than done, but think of your child. Being happy and healthy is the best way to be a good mother. If you want to achieve your goals than you had to take care of grudging and diet fads. - 15634
