Pocket Accessories For A Man's Suit

By Victor Santerino

Men's suits tend to have a multitude of pockets to choose from. These include two front and two back trouser pockets, three front jacket pockets, and usually one or two inside jacket pockets.

Unfortunately many of the pockets that are on suits are for fashion purposes and should never actually be used. The reason for this is because a jacket or trouser can quickly look stuffed and misshapen.

This article was written to explain to men what should and can be kept in suit pockets. After reading this article you will have some new ideas you can use to make your pockets look less stuffed.

Keeping your pockets completely devoid of any items is the best way to keep them looking sharp. This may be accomplished by using your coat to store your gear rather than your suit.

Men that dare not put items in coats for the nightmare of having their items stolen, need to be careful how they put their items in their suits. Also many men cannot use coats because they are wearing their suits in temperate weather.

The first thing to keep in mind is that you will not be able to store anything other than a pocket square in your outside jacket pockets. Inside pockets can be utilized, but only for thin items that will not be visible through the jacket.

Pants can hide items in back pockets if the jacket is to cover the back pockets and you are comfortable with the way items feel when sitting on them. Remember that overstuffed back pockets will still bulge through a jacket at times.

When absolutely necessary you should use your front two trouser pockets to hold items like wallets and cell phones. Be sure to take all non-essential items out of your wallet to make it as flat as possible. - 15634
