DCS Grills Are a Dynamic Accessory To Any Outdoor Kitchen

By Mike Pit

Dynamic Cooking Systems (DCS) began operations in 1989 with appliance engineers and designers that were at the top of their fields throughout the country. Before becoming a leader in the industry with their outdoor DCS grills, the company began with high-end drop-in cook tops that would become the envy of any commercial establishment. They produced high performance ranges, convection ovens, broilers, and griddles for the food service industry.

To make outdoor grilling a comfortable year round experience, DCS also makes gas heaters to compliment their line of outdoor gas grills. This innovation and creativity led to their purchase by Fisher & Paykel in 2004. This added a worldwide network of manufacturing facilities, retail outlets and service centers. Fisher & Paykel makes products in over 40 countries.

DCS grills are all made with heavy 304-gauge stainless steel, making the line one of the finest crafted in the industry. Also, with stainless steel, you have no worries of rust, and these puppies can last in any type of weather for year round grilling.

The grates on each product have built-in runners to alleviate grease run off and flares as it is channeled away from the food. Two-sided, these grates also offer great flexibility in cooking. The smoother side is great for fish or veggies, while the coarser side produces sear lines that make it great for cooking foods like steak.

Each grill has 9-volt battery operated igniter and can come with burners that generate 25,000 BTUs and infrared burners that put out 14,000 BTUs. The grills range in size from 30 to 48 inches giving you from 575 to 646 square inches of grilling surface. DCS grills come ready to operate as a standalone unit, or can also be used as a drop-in. The largest of these grills can cook up to 50 lbs of meat at one time!

The smallest DCS grill is known as a 'Sub-company Ferrari', because while it's only 30 inches, it has a lot of incredible features. To start, it has an outward design that just says "I'm powerful and you're food will taste great". Under the hood, you'll see that it has a built in grill light and a radiant heating system designed to distribute the heat evenly and quickly. The heat rods will glow a bright red and will sear in the juices and flavor very quickly.

Whether you use liquid propane or natural gas, DCS can handle it, giving it more versatility than many competitors. And there are other options as well, like designer control knobs, carts, and rotisserie attachments. And if you have a lot of food to cook you may want to take advantage of the electric powered warming drawer option.

Their distribution network is worldwide through various outlets. The major names are Home Depot, Ferguson, Sears and Krup. You're not going to find many grills that compare to a DCS. - 15634
